Historical Fiction Bestsellers: Week of Oct. 13

The following titles are shown in order of appearance from
USA Today's Top 150:

The Help  The Hangman’s Daughter  Legacy

In Pursuit of Eliza Cynster  The Night Circus  Sarah’s Key

The Winter Sea  The Dovekeepers  A Lawman’s Christmas

The Paris Wife: A Novel  Seduction of a Highland Lass  Nightwoods

Water for Elephants  Fall of Giants  Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children

A Beginner’s Guide to Rakes  Seduced by the Highlander  To Kill a Mockingbird

The Girl in the Gatehouse  Lionheart

These are the books I consider to fall under the large umbrella of the historical fiction genre. Twenty books out of 150. That's five more than last week! I'm surprised and happy to see a couple of older releases from my favorite authors, Susannah Kearsley and Julie Klassen, on the list this week, and the fantastic Sharon Kay Penman's newest. Have you read any of these titles?

As always, write for yourself, but it never hurts to keep an eye on what's selling in today's market!
