Historical Fiction Bestsellers: Week of Nov. 3

The following titles are shown in order of appearance from
USA Today's Top 150:

The Help  Never Love a Highlander  Secondhand Bride

Legacy  Sarah’s Key  The Night Circus

The Famous Heroine and The Plumed Bonnet  The Dovekeepers  A Winter Scandal

A Lone Star Christmas  The Paris Wife: A Novel  Water for Elephants

The Lady of the Rivers  Scandalous Desires  Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children

These are the books I consider to fall under the large umbrella of the historical fiction genre. Fifteenteen books out of 150. That's one less than last week, and still down from an impressive genre presence of twenty three weeks ago. Christmas historicals continue to be HOT!

As always, write for yourself, but it never hurts to keep an eye on what's selling in today's market, and to take a look at what these authors are doing right!

P.S. Though none of them are historical fiction, seven self-published titles made the list this week!
