Are you going to HNS 2015?

I am so excited to attend my first Historical Novel Society Conference in Denver this June! I'll be presenting on three panels: (Re)creating the Past: Historical Fiction Without the Famous; The Art of Book Cover Design for Historical Fiction; and The Red Pen and Historical Fiction: An Editor’s Perspective. Will you be attending? I'd love to meet you there!

Historical Fiction Bestsellers: Week of Jan. 24

The following titles are shown in order of appearance from
USA Today's Top 150:

The Great Gatsby    Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker  The Witch's Daughter

The Husband List  The Paris Wife: A Novel  The Twelve Tribes of Hattie

11/22/63  The Light Between Oceans  Les Miserables

The Aviator's Wife  Death Comes to Pemberley  Empire and Honor

The Duke and I  Fall of Giants  The Painted Girls

Fifteen titles on the list this week--down five from last week, but still a very good showing. A classic leads the pack, but three buzzed-about new releases also hit the list this week: Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker debuts at #43, The Aviator's Wife debuts at #108, and The Painted Girls debuts at #138.
