Are you going to HNS 2015?

I am so excited to attend my first Historical Novel Society Conference in Denver this June! I'll be presenting on three panels: (Re)creating the Past: Historical Fiction Without the Famous; The Art of Book Cover Design for Historical Fiction; and The Red Pen and Historical Fiction: An Editor’s Perspective. Will you be attending? I'd love to meet you there!

Historical Fiction Bestsellers: Week of Jan. 31

The following titles are shown in order of appearance from
USA Today's Top 150:

The Great Gatsby  The Witch's Daughter   The Paris Wife: A Novel

The Husband List  The Twelve Tribes of Hattie  The Light Between Oceans

The Duke and I  Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker  11/22/63

Death Comes to Pemberley

Only ten titles on the list this week. Five down from last week, and a rather disappointing showing for the genre. Eighteen self-pubbed titles made the bestseller list this week, that's the most I've seen by far since I started keeping track more than two years ago. All of them romance, but none of them historical.
