Historical Fiction Bestsellers: Week of Nov. 17

The following titles are shown in order of appearance from
USA Today's Top 150:

The Help   The Valcourt Heiress  Water for Elephants

Legacy  Sarah’s Key  The Prague Cemetery

The Dovekeepers  Secondhand Bride  The Night Circus

A Lone Star Christmas  The Paris Wife: A Novel  Prince of Ravenscar

Never Love a Highlander  Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children  The Ugly Duckling Debutante

These are the books I consider to fall under the large umbrella of the historical fiction genre. Sixteen books out of 150. That's two more than last week, but still down from an impressive genre presence of twenty five weeks ago. Look at Stephen King roaring to the top of the list with his highly-anticipated time-travel!

As always, write for yourself, but it never hurts to keep an eye on what's selling in today's market, and to take a look at what these authors are doing right!
