Historical Fiction Bestsellers: Week of Dec. 29

The following titles are shown in order of appearance from
USA Today's Top 150:

  11/22/63  Death Comes to Pemberley

War Horse  Water for Elephants  Clockwork Prince

Sarah’s Key  Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children  The Night Circus

Clockwork Angel  The Land of Painted Caves  The Scottish Prisoner

The Paris Wife: A Novel

These are the books I consider to fall under the large umbrella of the historical fiction genre. Thirteen books out of 150. Same as last week (though not the same books), and down from the impressive genre presence of twenty in the top 150 eleven weeks ago, and no romances again this week.

As always, write for yourself, but it never hurts to keep an eye on what's selling in today's market, and to take a look at what these authors are doing right!
